Some of us are still sheltering at home (or at different stages of emerging from sheltering at home). The reality is that ongoing constraint and pressure of sheltering at home created a stress and pressure in many of our relationships.

You can remove much of the stress and disappointment in those relationships by removing invalid expectations.

Pete Scazzero says a expectation is valid only if meets the following criteria:

1. Is it conscious? - Were you aware you had this expectation?

2. Is it realistic? - What specific evidence is there that this person can and will provide you with what you want or expect?

3. Is it spoken? - Have you clearly spoken the expectation or do you just think “they should know”?

4. Is it agreed upon? - Has the other person agreed to the expectation?

If this week you will ask yourself the four questions above about one expectation that you currently have you will increase your lead.

Give it a try and comment in this post.  You could win some great FREE STUFF if you are picked as the #JustDidIt winner of the week!
